Haste Ye Back by Conor Patrick Carroll

When Maya, a heavily pregnant Syrian woman, is resettled on the remote Isle of Bute in Scotland, she finds herself placed in the small bungalow of Mrs Ella Flack, a recently deceased widow. However, she soon encounters local islander Wolfie, a homeless war veteran, who is none-to-happy with this arrangement as Ella promised the bungalow to him before she died…

Haste Ye Back is about impermanence and belonging; In a world where your home can be taken from you in an instant, how can we ever know that where we want to be is where we will stay?

Strong language and some upsetting topics regarding the death of an infant are present in the play.
