Inrush by Norman Miller

Sat on an isolated clifftop overlooking a nondescript English beach, the little settlement of Larmer has a problem - the tides have been eating away inexorably at the land, and the place is starting to fall into the sea. The locals hope the authorities might step in to shore things up - but they're beginning to realise no help is coming.

But the seasons keep turning, and Larmer still has its Midsummer Festival to do...
